Imedge Media was founded in 2012. Journalists Milind Wadekar, Navneet Deshpande, and Deendayal Vaidya had always been avid trekkers willing to explore unfamiliar terrains. They gave up their comfortable jobs and embarked on a journey full of challenges.
They had neither any past precedent to guide them nor did they have any resources to achieve their objective. The only thing they had was this grand idea.
Milind has worked as a visual journalist for over 22 years with reputed newspapers like The Indian Express, Loksatta, and Sakal.
During his long career as a journalist, Milind captured through his lenses innumerable landmark events including the events that unfolded at Ayodhya in 1992, the 1992 earthquake in Maharashtra, the 1994 National Games, and the 2003 Nashik Kumbhmela.
At Imedge Media, Milind has been instrumental in balancing content and aestheticism in the usage and the treatment of visuals in our products. His communication and persuasive skills ensure that we convert maximum visual opportunities in any given project.
A people's person, Milind most often walks straight into your heart and brings smile on your face, even when he is not speaking through the lenses. You will often meet him with a camera bag on his back.
Navneeet has worked with Sakal, a frontrunner newspaper in Pune and Maharashtra, for 21 years. He was executive editor of Sakal's Pune edition when he decided to part ways to launch Imedge.
At Sakal, Navneet's involvement in all the initiatives launched by the newspaper had been noteworthy. He led the newspaper's team during the launch of its SMS service for the readers, during the massive redesigning exercise undertaken by the newspaper, and during Sakal's annual content planning projects.
Navneet has played a pivotal role in Imedge Media providing special purpose concepts to suit client specific topical requirements. His penchant for identifying dots to create a visual story has also contributed immensely towards our photo-books.
Navneet looks forward to developing concepts and executing them. Creating communicative content and marrying text and visuals is his way of relaxing.
Deendayal has 15 years of experience working with the newspapers, Sakal and Sakal Times, and with Zee News.
While at Sakal, Deendayal conceptualized and edited "Muktapeeth", a citizen journalism supplement. This was the first of its kind supplement introduced by any Indian newspaper.
Deendayal’s insistence on strong research and detailed preparation helps Imedge Media in delivering each and every documentation project to exceed client expectations. His domain expertise has presented us a vista of “Warsaa”, an opportunity to document India’s rich heritage.
Deendayal has an eye for detail and very rarely misses finer points in documenting. With clarity in communication and work process, you will always find him delivering the desired message or content.
